Directed by Heidi Ewing, Rachel Grady and some of their most prestigious colleagues in the film world, Mind/Trip is an eight-part original series that brings us closer to understanding multiple captivating psychological disorders and invites us to step into the skin of people who live with them on a daily basis.
Each episode of Mind/Trip takes an in depth look at a unique disorder from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM): Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Childhood-Onset Fluency Disorder, Dissociative Identity Disorder, Schizophrenia Nightmare Disorder and Bipolar Disorder. Unique graphic technology, illustration and sound design allow the viewer to observe each character in one window and participate in sensory experience in the other: to feel how the character is feeling, see and hear what they do, when the illness is acting out. A wild color palette, layered textures and unusual sonic cues enhance and heighten the experience of viewers so that they can more viscerally identify with the highs and lows of each featured illness.
