Heidi Ewing

ENDANGERED is Heidi’s 6th feature doc collaboration with Rachel Grady. Others include JESUS CAMP (Oscar nominated), THE BOYS OF BARAKA (ThinkFIlm), 12TH & DELAWARE (Sundance 2010, HBO), DETROPIA (Sundance 2012, PBS), NORMAN LEAR: JUST ANOTHER VERSION OF YOU (Sundance 2016, American Masters) and ONE OF US (TIFF 2017; Netflix). She and Grady’s Showtime docuseries, LOVE FRAUD, had its world premiere at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival opening night. After a long career in documentary, Heidi has begun to explore scripted work. In 2020, her first narrative feature, I CARRY YOU WITH ME, premiered at Sundance, winning both the audience and jury awards. It was released to critical acclaim by Sony Pictures Classics. She is the co-owner of Loki Films, based in Brooklyn.

Heidi Ewing

Heidi Ewing is the co-director of Jesus Camp, The Boys of Baraka, 12th & Delaware, DETROPIA, Norman Lear: Just Another Version of You (Sundance Film Festival), One of Us (Toronto International Film Festival), and the series Love Fraud (Sundance Film Festival). Ewing’s first narrative feature, I Carry You With Me (Te Llevo Conmigo), had its world premiere at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival where it won the jury and audiences awards in the NEXT section. The film was nominated for two Independent Spirit Awards and will be released by Sony Pictures Classics in 2021. Heidi is currently co-directing a film for HBO on the silencing of journalists around the world.

Rachel Grady
