The Public Square is a part of The New York Times' OP-DOCS series, a forum for short, opinionated documentaries, produced with creative latitude by independent filmmakers and artists.

In a scene less than four minutes, the surprising spirit of New York City is revealed. Pastor Terry Jones, infamous for burning a Koran, held an anti-Muslim rally in the middle of Times Square. The crowd's reaction is at once unexpected and heartwarming.
